That would be Barack Obama and his mom, Stanley Ann Dunham. It's even worse than the teabaggers thought: he's not some weird chimera of Hitler, Stalin, and Roosevelt. He's a freakin' PIRATE!

I cannot imagine what it would be like to constantly live in the harsh light of scrutiny. I am convinced that good people are, by design, not inclined to run for a political office in this country. I would NEVER allow my family to be subject to these things. Especially what he is having to go through! Most of the
vitriol is nothing more than poorly disguised racism. I've been around long enough to know that these hatreds take time to purge from the system, at least a couple of generations. When I was born, and well into my tender years, racism was alive and unwell in the deep south...separate bathrooms and eating establishments, Jim Crow laws, the KKK, etc;, these things will not go away anytime soon. I believe that we are on the right path but like anything else in this country, it WILL take a while. Nice coverage Lockwood, thank you for sharing.
