It's been topping out in the upper 40's to mid 50's the last few days, with mostly clear skies. Cold at night, but the fog sets in, and I don't think it's been getting much colder than freezing. The various clumps of spring foliage and shoots have become much more apparent over the past week, and we're all looking forward to warmer weather. Even those of us who are spoiled by the mild climate of western Oregon.

I am firmly of the opinion that anyone who fails to clean that much snow off their vehicle deserves to be expelled from the human race. (I've seen people driving around Buffalo with a solid foot of snow on their roof - and with their windows and windshield carefully scraped clean. Makes me want to stop really short in front of them...)
When I live east of Cleveland in the late 70's, I learned to avoid following too close behind those people. I was lucky, though, to have a garage to park in... sometimes had to scrape frost, but never had to clean off last night's snow.
This happened to me a few days ago. It was so scary because I couldn't see AT ALL. I knew the cars in front and behind couldn't see either, and were probably all slowing down. Luckily, it was fine.
