I love the sign in the first photo - it's on the road you walk to get to the Kilauea ocean entry. (I highly suspect the rangers shoved it into a flow in a moment of boredom...or maybe some volcanologists did.)

I had assumed it was a block or bomb tossed by an explosion that damaged the sign. Have they left it up in the damaged state like that? I think it makes a more credible warning, for sure.
