A final view of the breccia in the stack south of Gold Beach. The surprisingly angular clasts stand out to me; it almost looks like talus, as if it's simply fallen off a cliff and not physically transported any distance at all. I presume there's a fault between this outcrop and the serpentinite on the other side of 101, but that road obscures any indication of the actual nature of the contact between the two. In addition to the breccia, a number of patches of the secondary mineralization- probably quartz- are apparent, most notably in the upper left corner.
Photo run through autolevel routine for contrast and saturation. May 7, 2013. FlashEarth location.
